After School Club
After School Club is a chance for your child to relax after a busy day at school!
We collect children from Pippin, Maigold and Gala classes, and children from Camelot and Blenheim make their way to our meeting point inside the school at 3.15pm. We then have a play outside on the back playground at Curry Rivel Primary School before making our way up to our base at the Old School Room where your child can make their own snacks, work together playing board games, be creative with various construction toys, arts and crafts, be imaginative with small world or relax quietly with puzzles or books.
We can collect children from Curry Rivel Primary School at 4.30pm should your child do an activity club there after school.
Snack is not meant to be a substitute for an evening meal and may include crackers, pitta bread, crumpets, fresh fruit and vegetables, and yogurt. Fresh drinking water is available throughout the evening. Should you wish to provide an evening meal to be reheated please have a chat with us as we do have the facilities available.
We promote independence, and one way is by encouraging your child to prepare their own snacks, and to clear away after themselves. We use fresh ingredients and follow statutory guidelines. We meet individual dietary requirements and parental preferences wherever possible. We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition for children delivered in a calm, friendly setting.
Your child can decide when they have their snack, but request that food be consumed whilst sitting at the table. We encourage the children to sit together and this is a lovely opportunity for discussions and friendships to develop between the age groups.
If you would like your child to attend After School Club, please make sure we have a Registration Form for them and then complete a Booking Form and return with payment either to Apple Trees staff directly or to us via the School Office at Curry Rivel Primary School.
